The long-awaited HTC Hero, and the recently announced HTC Tattoo, will not initially be sold directly via ‘big Telco’, instead Harvey Norman will be first to sell these two new handsets. It will only be a 2 week headstart for Harvey Norman, other retailers, or telcos, will follow.
The HTC Hero will sell for $799 RRP, the Tattoo $599 RRP. Colour-wise, the Hero is taking the colour philosophy of the Model T Ford – you can have it in any colour as long as that colour is mocha black. Yes, mocha black. It’s shorter than having to say very, very, very dark brown. The Tattoo, it’s grey, which will for most be hidden under a personalised skin. The HTC Tattoo skins will sell for $29.90 – that’s selecting one of the range from the Garskin – a Singapore-based business – website, or getting them to make one of your design. Once ordered, your design will delivered in 10 days.
